We collect personal and health information directly from you, your referring health professional, or other authorised third parties. This includes:

  • Medicare number and referral details

  • Medical history and clinical notes

  • Appointment records, correspondence, and reports

  • Information from assessments, questionnaires, or session transcripts

What our servers collect automatically for each visitor to reach the site as non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • browser type

  • browser version

  • browser language

  • browser operating system

  • pages viewed while browsing the site

  • page access times

  • referring website address

How We Use Your Information

Your personal and health information is used only for purposes directly related to your care and treatment, including:

  • Assessment and diagnosis

  • Treatment planning and referrals

  • Communication with your GP or other care providers (with your consent)

  • Medicare claims and billing

  • Recordkeeping as required by law

  • Administrative purposes in running our medical practice.
  • Billing purposes

The automated collected information by the servers is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this Site.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

All personal and health data is securely stored in encrypted, password-protected clinical software that complies with Australian cybersecurity and privacy regulations. Access is limited to authorised clinical and administrative staff.

Our servers are secured by firewalls, VPN and certificate-protected logins for IT staff only.

Sharing Information

We only share your information:

  • With other healthcare providers involved in your care (with consent)

  • As required by law (e.g. court orders, mandatory reporting)

  • In emergencies, where your life or safety is at risk

Access and Corrections

You may request access to your medical records or request a correction to inaccurate information. Please email the practice and allow up to 30 days for a formal response.

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact Ghel Practice. If unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au

Telehealth Disclaimer

All services provided by Ghel Practice are conducted exclusively via telehealth.

While this allows access to safe, effective, and convenient care, it may not be appropriate for all situations.

If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, or unable to keep yourself safe, please contact emergency services (000) or attend your nearest Emergency Department.

Ghel Practice does not provide emergency or crisis services, but can assist with longer-term recovery after stabilisation.

Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, logos, and other content are the property of Ghel Practice or licensed sources. You may not reproduce, reuse, or distribute content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

We do our best to maintain accurate and up-to-date information. However, we do not guarantee that all information is current or applicable to every user. Use of this site is at your own risk. Ghel Practice is not liable for any damages arising from use of the site or linked services.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information

  • Misuse forms or contact details for spam, harassment, or impersonation

Fees

Ghel is a private practice, and fees apply for all appointments, reports, and additional services, including third-party requests.

Ghel is not a bulk billing practice, and we do not take Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) payments.

Beyond the consultation fee, credit card payments incur a processing charge of $1 or 1.5%-1.9%.

Payment policies

A booking fee is required for initial appointments at the time of booking.

Cancellations or non-attendance within 24 hours of the appointment will incur the full appointment fee.

Payments will be processed 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Due to the nature of telehealth we cannot accept cash payments; all payments must be made via our offered payment systems. 

Medicare rebates

Medicare rebates cannot be processed unless there is a valid and current referral on file.

The referral must be provided by your treating GP (valid for 12 months–unless a different duration is noted on the referral) prior to your appointment.

It is the patient’s sole responsibility to ensure the referral is valid and current.

Please note:

If you have seen a psychiatrist within the past 12 months, you will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate for an initial consultation under MBS item 92437.

Additionally, if you have received a consultation under MBS item 291 or 92435 within the past 12 months, you will also not be eligible for a rebate for an initial consultation under MBS item 92435.

Please note that Medicare rebates do not apply to non-attendance fees, and GST is included in the total amount charged.

Artificial Intelligence / AI software

Ghel uses an artificial intelligence (AI) note-taking tool to accurately and efficiently capture our discussions and the outcomes of our appointments.

This AI tool ensures that we can focus on our conversation and not on manual note-taking, while enhancing the quality of care you receive. 

By using our services, you agree to allow the usage of artificial intelligence (AI) note-taking tool during your consultation.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Joondalup, Western Australia, in relation to any matter arising under these Terms and Conditions or in connection with your use of this website or our services, unless otherwise stipulated by law.
